I painted this commission after a close friend visited Bryce Canyon National Park and asked me to paint the scene. The landscape feels almost unreal. The tall hoodoos rise like quiet sentinels, their warm oranges and golds glowing against the soft blue sky. What struck me most was the balance between the massive rock formations and the softer elements—trees, grasses, and the gentle stream winding through the canyon. This piece is about that contrast, rugged stone shaped over time, softened by light, water, and wind.
