Marshland Jewel — Limited Edition Print - Tricolored Heron Watercolor Painting

Sometimes nature's most beautiful colors are the ones we almost overlook.

When I began studying a photograph I had taken of this tricolored heron, I was surprised by the remarkable variety of colors hidden within its feathers. What I had initially seen as shades of blue and gray revealed delicate pinks, soft lavenders, warm browns, touches of gold, and creamy whites.

That discovery became the inspiration for Marshland Jewel.

I wanted to capture not only the heron's graceful form but also the unexpected richness of its plumage. Surrounded by a tapestry of marsh grasses, the bird stands quietly against deep greens that bring its subtle colors to life.

Painting this heron reminded me of something I love about watercolor and nature: the closer we look, the more there is to discover.

Each limited edition giclée is reproduced from my original watercolor painting using archival inks on premium 100% cotton rag paper. 

I personally hand sign and number every print in pencil, and each one includes a Certificate of Authenticity. To keep these editions special, only a limited number of prints are available in each size. Once an edition sells out, it will not be reproduced.
