This painting of a Blue Tang came from spending time snorkeling and watching reef fish drift slowly through the water, almost like they’re thinking about where to go next. I was drawn to this one’s soft blue color and gentle expression—it was very friendly

I kept the watercolor loose and let the blues and greens blend naturally, so the fish feels like it’s really floating. The coral shapes around it add just enough detail without taking away from that peaceful, underwater feeling.
