This painting was inspired by watching a goose and her gosling resting together, tucked in close and completely at ease. I loved the way the adult’s presence feels protective, while the gosling looks soft, curious, and still figuring things out.

I focused on the textures—the downy feathers, the gentle curve of their bodies, and that quiet closeness between them. Painting this was calming and grounding, like one of those peaceful moments in nature that makes you stop and smile.
