I love getting up close to flowers, and this pink lily was especially fun to paint. 🌸
By zooming in, I could really focus on the freckles, the curves of the petals, and those curling stamens reaching out from the center. The layers of pinks and reds felt lively and expressive, almost like the flower was moving as I painted it.
