The Florida panther is one of those animals that has always fascinated me. Elusive and rarely seen, it represents a wild side of Florida that still exists beyond our neighborhoods and busy roads.

For this watercolor, I wanted the panther to feel close and immediate, almost as though we have suddenly caught one another’s eye. I focused on the expression and pale, watchful eyes, while keeping the surrounding foliage loose and filled with glowing greens and filtered sunlight.

The softness and transparency of watercolor were perfect for creating the subtle colors of the fur while allowing the background to remain atmospheric and full of light.

Watchful is an original watercolor painting celebrating the quiet beauty and wild spirit of Florida’s native wildlife.

Each limited edition giclée is reproduced from my original watercolor painting using archival inks on premium 100% cotton rag paper.

 I personally hand sign and number every print in pencil, and each one includes a Certificate of Authenticity. To keep these editions special, only a limited number of prints are available in each size.

Once an edition sells out, it will not be reproduced. Your print is carefully packaged, ships rolled in a sturdy mailing tube, and includes simple flattening instructions.
